For Marie-Claire Hamon landscape is a strange and mysterious affair. Hauntingly empty vistas are occupied sparsely by the sometimes quirky signs of humanity. Her works are dipped subtly in the Cornish light, where she lives and works. Marie-Claire was born in Belgium and has shown extensively in Cornwall and London. In 2003 she won the Hunting Art Prize at the Royal College of Art.
